Privacy policy

Here we explain in plain words what data we process, what we use it for and what rights you have.

This is a translation for your convenience. The German version is legally binding.

1.The key points

This website works without tracking, analytics tools, advertising or embedded content from other providers. We only process personal data when you send us a request or contact us in another way – and only to reply to you and carry out your job.

2.Controller

The controller responsible for processing your data on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

TODO Inhaber Vor- und NachnameCONTACTHamburger Allee 4030161 HannoverGermany
Phone
0171 214 70 33
Email
contact.hausmeister@gmail.com

If you have any questions about data protection, you can reach us at any time using these contact details.

3.Hosting and server log files

This website is operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen. Every time a page is accessed, the server automatically stores information transmitted by your browser (so-called server log files):

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • page or file requested and amount of data transferred
  • the page you came from (referrer), if transmitted
  • browser and operating system used (user agent)

We need this information to provide the website securely and reliably, to find errors and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and trouble-free operation of the website. We do not combine this data with other data or analyse it in relation to you personally.

The log files are deleted after a short time, at the latest after 14 days – unless they are needed in an individual case to investigate a security incident. The hosting provider processes the data on our behalf; we have concluded a data processing agreement with it pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

4.Cookies, analytics tools and fonts

We do not use cookies for advertising, statistics or tracking, and we do not use any analytics tools. There are no social media plugins, no embedded maps or videos and no other content through which data flows to third-party providers.

This website sets no cookies at all and stores no information on your device. The language (German or English) is determined solely by the page address.

The font used on this website is stored on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any other font service is made when the pages load.

5.Request form

When you write to us using the request form, we process the information you enter there:

  • the service you need and your message or description of the job
  • name
  • phone number
  • email address (optional – only needed if you would like a reply by email)
  • postcode and location of the job
  • preferred date (optional) and preferred way of contact
  • photos (optional, up to 5), e.g. of the furniture or the wall

In addition, we store the time of the request, the language you used, the page from which you sent the request and your browser identifier (user agent).

We use this data only to handle your request, to make you an offer and – if you hire us – to carry out the job. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract and performance of a contract). For this purpose your request is stored in our system.

Photos: When uploaded, the pictures are reduced in size and all embedded additional data (e.g. camera, location/GPS) is removed automatically. Please don’t photograph people. We use the photos only to estimate the work and the price. They are deleted 14 days after your request has been closed, and no later than 60 days after you sent it.

To protect against spam and abuse, your IP address is briefly processed when you submit the form in order to detect an unusually high number of requests in a short time. It is only held temporarily in the server’s memory and is not stored with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You are not obliged to provide us with any data. Without the required details, however, we cannot handle your request. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

6.Notification via Telegram

So that we can respond to your request quickly, the owner is notified via the messaging service Telegram. The notification contains the details of your request and, if any, your photos. Telegram is provided by Telegram FZ-LLC, based in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), or Telegram Messenger Inc.

In the process, data is also transferred to servers outside the European Union. There is no decision by the EU Commission confirming that the United Arab Emirates offer a level of data protection comparable to the EU. It therefore cannot be ruled out that authorities there access the data and that your rights are harder to enforce. The transfer takes place in order to handle your request (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). The legal basis for the notification is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is handling your request quickly. No later than 14 days after your request has been closed, your details and photos are removed from the Telegram notifications; photos no later than 60 days after you sent them.

If you do not want this, please call us or send us an email – in that case no notification is sent via Telegram.

7.Contact via WhatsApp

This website contains links to WhatsApp. These are plain links: as long as you do not tap them, no data is transferred to WhatsApp.

If you write to us via WhatsApp, you use the service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. WhatsApp belongs to the Meta group. Data – for example your phone number and information about when and with whom you communicate – may also be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA. Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The content of messages is end-to-end encrypted. You can find out more in WhatsApp’s privacy policy.

We use your messages to answer your request and to arrange the job (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Whether you use WhatsApp is your choice. You can reach us just as well by phone, email or the request form.

8.Contact by phone or email

When you call us or send us an email, we process your details – for example name, phone number, email address and the content of your message – to deal with your enquiry. If it concerns a job, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering your question).

Our email inbox is provided by Google (Gmail; provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Emails you send us are therefore stored on Google’s servers. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). If you’d rather avoid this, you can also reach us by phone or through the request form.

9.How long we keep data

We delete your data as soon as we no longer need it for the respective purpose. If no job results, we delete your request as soon as it is clear that it is no longer needed.

If a job results, we are required by tax and commercial law to keep certain documents – such as offers, invoices and business correspondence (§ 147 German Fiscal Code, § 257 German Commercial Code). Depending on the type of document, the retention period is six, eight or ten years. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

10.SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and the padlock symbol in your browser. This means that data you send us – for example via the request form – cannot be read by third parties.

11.Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR, see below)

Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

An informal message is enough – by email to contact.hausmeister@gmail.com or by phone at 0171 214 70 33.

12.Right to object

Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

13.Complaint to the supervisory authority

If you believe that we are not processing your data lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:

Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony)Prinzenstraße 530159 Hannover, Germanywww.lfd.niedersachsen.de

14.Changes to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy when our website or the legal requirements change. The version published here always applies.
